Texas man allegedly stalks, kills podcaster and husband in Washington home invasion shooting

In tragic news, a Texas man has been accused of killing a popular podcaster and her husband in a home invasion shooting in Washington. According to authorities, the suspect, 30-year-old Robert D. Gresham, allegedly stalked the victims before carrying out the deadly attack.

The victims have been identified as 40-year-old Jennifer Ayers-Moore, also known as Jennifer Smart, and her husband, 44-year-old James Ayers-Moore. Jennifer was a well-known podcaster who hosted the show "True Crime Mom" and had a large following on social media. James was a musician and sound engineer who worked with his wife on her podcast.

The shooting took place on the evening of March 8 at the couple's home in Arlington, Washington. According to police, Gresham broke into the house and opened fire, killing both Jennifer and James. Their 13-year-old son, who was also in the house at the time of the attack, managed to escape unharmed and called 911.

After the shooting, Gresham fled the scene in a stolen vehicle and led police on a high-speed chase before crashing and being taken into custody. He has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and is being held in jail on a $5 million bail.

Investigators say that Gresham had been stalking Jennifer for several months before the shooting. He reportedly traveled from his home in Texas to Washington to carry out the attack. The motive for the shooting is still under investigation, but authorities believe that Gresham may have been motivated by an obsession with Jennifer.

The news of Jennifer and James' deaths has shocked their friends, family, and followers. Many have taken to social media to express their condolences and pay tribute to the couple. Jennifer was known for her passionate and dedicated work in the true crime community, and her loss has been felt deeply by many.

The shooting is the latest in a string of high-profile attacks in the United States in recent months. Gun violence has become a pressing issue in the country, with many calling for stricter gun control laws to prevent further tragedies like this one.

In response to the shooting, Washington Governor Jay Inslee tweeted, "We are devastated by the news of Jennifer and James Ayers-Moore's senseless and tragic deaths. Our hearts go out to their family, friends, and loved ones during this unimaginable time."

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information about the case to come forward.
